    Dacă scumpul moare, atunci îi învie averea.

    Nu scumpul stăpâneste banii, ci banii stăpânesc pe scump.
    Scumpul nu e stăpân pe banii lui, ci banii îl stăpânesc pe el.
    Sim. The rich are rather possessed by their money than possessors.
  3. The COVETOUS spends more than the liberal.
    Scumpul mai mult păgubeste si lenesul mai mult aleargă.
  4. COVETOUSNESS breaks the bag.
    Lăcomia sparge sacul.
    Var. Covetousness bursts the sack / Too much breaks the bag.
    Sim. Over covetous was never good.
